The Hellcat appears to be a hybrid of a transport and gunship helicopter, rather like the real life Huey Gunship or MI-24. It is red and black, sharing the same color scheme as the SMG soldiers. Like many Restoration vehicles, the cockpit seems to have been replaced by a metal plate, so it may be a drone or AI. It has typical armament for a helicopter, with a nose-mounted chaingun and missile pods on wing stubs. One takes away Claire and fires on you when you go across the lake, another is fought before getting the Omega Armor, and is destroyed by stopping up its rotors with foam. Several are flying around during the finale, firing missiles at apparently nothing. When directly fought they only use their chaingun, firing long bursts, but the one that shoots at you at the lake will have soldiers inside, who will sometimes shoot randomly to no effect. They appear to be the main helicopter used by the Restoration, probably why they are a combination of a transport and gunship.
Trivia
- The helicopter flying over Lake Chinnereth can be destroyed by lobbing a well-placed grenade into the cabin.
